In a bowl of plain flour, add baking powder

Add bicarbonate soda

Add salt

Mix all the dry ingredients well

Sieve flour mixture into another bowl

Add sugar
-
Add finely ground almond

Pour canola oil

Mix thoroughly until everything is fully combined

Optional: If you like crunch in the cookies add 30-50g crushed almonds and mix well

Pinch off small portions of the dough

Roll each portions into a ball and arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper

Using a fork press gently and make marking on the dough ball

Make another marking across the first ones to get a criss-cross pattern

Bake at 180 degree C for about 15 to 20 mins or until golden brown

Remove cookies from tray and cool them on a cooling rack
