Coconut Water Agar Agar Jelly
Ingredients
- 1 pkt agar agar powder 12g
- 80 g to 130g sugar optional
- Flesh from 2 young coconuts
- 1.25 litre coconut water from 2 coconuts
Instructions
- Scrape out coconut flesh from 2 young coconuts.
- Pour coconut water into a pot (use 1.25 litre).
- Add agar agar powder and stir until dissolved.
- Add sugar and stir well – adjust to taste.
- Place the pot over the stove and bring it to a boil.
- Add the coconut flesh and let it boil briefly.
- Scoop the coconut flesh agar agar mixture into glass containers or jelly moulds.
- Set aside to cool until the agar agar surface sets.
- Keep in the fridge and serve cold.
Notes
- Sugar is optional as young coconut water has natural sweetness.
If adding sugar, adjust the amount to taste. - You could also add pandan leaves to coconut water to boil.
